    For me there seems to be a third option. The word "grind" always brings to mind sandbox grinding (so hate that), and game overs (so glad most Dev's don't do that shit anymore). So my third option and it's kind of related to your "pleasant anticipation" is the slow burn, I'll choose that 9 times...

    Yes, you're right, there are so many unanswered questions. It's not to bad when a game is abandoned early in it's development, but when a game is so advanced in it's storyline there's so many burning questions.
