    I am sure there are apps for windows aswell in which you can disable an apps permission to connect with the internet but i did my testing on macintosh using LuLu which is an mac exclusive app. But the link im linking should show you how to do that but you could just turn your pc's internet off...

    Yea just block the games ability to connect to the internet as when it cant connect it gives you the 9€ tier for free. After the initial "login" you could in theory give it access to the internet again to be able to download mods.
