The interest could be before, during, or after you've been through a game. I also overlook rough parts of games if I see that a dev is going for something or really likes what they're making. -

Never really understood why devs make sandboxs, the concept is a failure yet they keep doing it.
Sandboxes are nice when they're done well but they seem too easy to mess up. I'm guessing it's the allure of success or popularity that attracts some devs.- daisend

I find a good starting premise in a VN usually determines whether I'll want to continue with it or not. -
Do you prefer playing a VN with a Walkthrough Mod. Why/why not?
Same. Depends if the game is straightforward in its choices or not, otherwise I just follow the mod so the game is still enjoyable.- daisend
