genuine question, why not use a posts and time having your account system instead? this system is dumb and only drives off people who where thinking about making an account, just losses all around.

You're welcome to have that opinion. The approach you describe existed here before the coin system did. It was changed to this, and with different rates of coins gains and prices, many people have acquired the ranks they wanted.

OK. I'll walk you through it, even though I wasn't on staff at the time this system was implemented. They had that system, which was basically having some quantity of posts and your account being at least a certain age. That basically just lets someone post a bunch of times, go away for a while, and come back with full access. Clearly not someone engaged with the site.

I would assume, since they changed the system, that it did not work the way they wanted.

Ngl it took me a few months to get enough coins for p1. I think it is intentional to prevent people from unlocking shit they shouldn’t see without putting in some effort first. I doubt the price will come down, so be funny or post sexy pics to get reactions

The Games+ section has less requirement for users to interact than other sections, so even this section doesn't have users who interact much.
The users with Prestige ranks do more reacting on the site, so they're more likely to react to stuff. Sadly, that means those are the users who spend time in forums on the site other than the Games/Games+ forums.

So I'm brand new too. You can't deposit less than 500. So that was my first goal.

I read somewhere that creating game threads gave you 65? coins, but i did not get any extra coin.
