Edit: 18 Sept 2025
10 months on and I'd like to ask this question again. Is LC Dying?

In light of everything that has happened since 2024, have we finally reached the end of LC?
A recent discord post by Heisenberg might suggest just that...

Heisenberg
@Everyone just putting this out there again, I am done personally forking out funds for lewdcorner, I am going to drop the server fees down but doing this may slow the site down not entirely sure though.
This is just me telling y’all I am done

We are currently $615.30 away from meeting the already reduced monthly upkeep bill.
What happens if LC doesn't meet budget?
Will the staff make up the difference?
Will a member come to the rescue?
Or will Heisenberg simply shut LC down, because it not making him any money?

If LC does survive this month, Heisenberg has made some changes to the forum starting at the end of this months billing cycle.
These changes posted by Lord Drakkon take effect from next month, and you would think will further reduce the monthly upkeep bill.

Lord Drakkon
Switched cloudflare package and lowered bandwidth, ram, storage (these will be adjusted next month)

If you believe LC will survive this month, next month, and the months going forward...
How will these changes effect the Forum?
How will they effect our user experience?
Will the forum need to be streamlined in some way to make up for the, well... reduction in everything?
Or, and I'll ask this once again. Will Heisenberg simply shut LC down because its not making him any money?

If you gave your opinion on this back in Dec 2024, is it the same now, or has it changed?
Would really like to hear from you, especially if you are staff because it's the effort you put in that keeps LC running and alive, or from members that has been around for awhile, are in all the different threads and have a decent grasp on things.

- Yes. You folks don't feed us much pizza. We had to put it all towards the site. :P
- They still are. Some don't actually chat in the threads. Sometimes, moderators would surrogate for them so they can just chat in the thread.
- Nothing's a lost cause. Moderators do everything in their power to keep the peace, along with everyone's efforts. It's folks like you that are here help keep things moving. Sincerely, thank you.

One thing I've noticed over the last 6 months is that fewer and fewer Dev's are posting their games to LC.
the number of games that are posted here by the devs themselves represent less than 5%, all the rest is posted by staff and the uploaders team
Today is a good example of that, at the time of posting this, only 3 game updates have been posted to LC in the last 24hrs. However, when I count the number of games that have had updates posted on other sites in the last 24hrs, it totals 48. That's a heck of a lot of games not being posted here, and, I know at least 6 of them used to be here.
we have a small team of uploaders, which means that when some get one or two days for rest, the games being posted and updated here will decrease, the only thing I can tell you is... Anyone is welcome to apply for uploader, the job is pretty simple, and we provide everything (from information to links) you don't even need to have a good connection, we need help with the manual work of creating and editing threads.

oh, and BTW, the number of users on LC keeps increasing every day, new and active users, I watch the stats

Like they are on devs, i think many people here are too hard with the staff. Those guys are doing a thankless job so that the site can continue to function smoothly and so that we can have our content. I want to thanks them for the amazing job they are doing.

I don't think the site is dying. It's not all about games. The community is quite active. Plenty of people arrived with the horrible way Fuck95 is managed. If we want more, it's not only the staff job, we (users) all need to do more and better.

I think there are just certain days where there are fewer games uploaded. Some days I come on here and there are a couple new games, then some days there seems to be maybe 30-40. Not sure you can base the health of this site only on the amount of uploaded games during the last 24 hours

On "other" certain websites its starting to feel like quantity over quality. Trying find a interesting is like looking for a needle in a haystack.

Can be quite frustrating at times.

Funny how similar things are being said on F-95-zone.
"Oh no, my subjectiveness is convincing me!"

Just like the other place it's mainly a pirate site/index for games that can be used as a source of feedback or interaction with potential subscribers.

Developers posting their games and interacting with the community isn't a necessity even though it is nice to see.

From what I've seen lately, the other place is also having a bit of inactivity.
I guess that there's just a general lack of updates and worthwhile new games besides AI crap.

To be honest I'm actually surprised this site is still up and running definitely doesn't get updated as often as other sites and usually what is uploaded is pinched from said other sites not always but quite often not to mention the costs of running the site and all the donations needed to keep it running or the fact that one of the admins actually put themselves in debt to keep the site up.

their is an unfortunate lack of unique games to this site

Sometimes here, too but that's the fault of what comes out. When it's a lot of the censored Japanese shit... Though the OTHER site has more uploaders (a shit ton), there are the games you can't get there (Games+)

And some of us do ;) I just delivered a steaming hot pie :D

I don't think this site is dead or dying. Just because it does not have the amount of membership or activity as CuckZone doesn't mean its dead. If you're worried about this place consider helping in whatever way you can. As for me, I've helped the site by bringing awareness to it and helped bring in new members.

I've also exposed some of the dirty things about CuckZone to others, so that they don't support them. The elimination of CuckZone is a good thing, we don't need their toxicity or their discrimination against loli/shota games.

edit: I'm a dev and I posted all my games here so far. I've got 9 in total, not including the director's cut versions. I even have a 10th one on the way, that I want to get out before Xmas eve.
One of the things I could do is help LewdCorner get new members is to use other platforms such as Mastodon, Lemmy, Odyssey/LBRY to get new members. It seems that many are just not aware of LC, I found out about this place through Sankaku Complex forums.

edit 2: I've got a post for LC to draw in more members. Itchio shadowbanned my other dev page for the loli games many months ago anyway, not like I have much to lose anyway.
Should you really be mentioning such games and connecting them to this site in this thread? After all you are just asking for some white-knight to report LC, because you have made your post in the general discussion area, where anyone can view it.

Voicing your love for contents is fine. It's showing these contents that can be a problem and since it's itch.io... Nothing to worry about here.

Like most people here I have a dozen or so gaming sites like LC bookmarked. One thing I've noticed over the last 6 months is that fewer and fewer Dev's are posting their games to LC. Today is a good example of that, at the time of posting this, only 3 game updates have been posted to LC in the last 24hrs. That's a heck of a lot of games not being posted here, and, I know at least 6 of them used to be here.

So my questions are...

- Is LC dying and why?
- Why are Dev's not posting or no longer posting their games here?
- Is there anything the Mods can do to change this or is it a lost cause?

I hope that LC will continue the work. Yes, F*95 is incomparably more popular (now there are 25,637 visitors (members: 20,560, guests: 5,077), here - 214 visitors (members: 163, guests: 51). But nevertheless, LC seems to me an excellent site with games for adults (I personally put this resource on the honorable third place among similar sites). The most important thing here is a small but consolidated community. And the forum here is incomparably more interesting than on the same F*95.

What I would like to wish is that discussions of games would be more substantial, more in-depth. Otherwise... I do not regret that I registered on this resource. And I am very happy that such a site exists.

LC is never gonna be the most popular site. You see people saying video games are dead all the time when they dont have fortnite level player count. Some games are killed by the publishers (actualyl dead since people cant connect to the server that is needed to play) and people reverse enginer the game and bring private servers online. As long as people want it to be around it will be around even if its just a few people.

I just hope this site can work for as long as possible, though I wouldn't think that's a concern for now. I've become a member quite recently and have been loving it here so far, hopefully we can enjoy it for a long time still.
