Okay because I'm an idiot and I have no idea where to ask this other than here where I'm guaranteed to get a response, or at least abject mockery, I'll toss this out: So over the time I've been on here I've been willy nilly downloading games both from the games and games+ areas, and now I've decided maybe I want to cycle back through to see if some have had updates since I played them last. But I've not kept any historical information on my PC about what the name of these games were, or even what version I played through in the event I do happen to recall the names. I usually play the updates because of dumb luck, or an uptick in activity on that games thread after an update. Is there a location I can go on this site that shows me what games I've previously downloaded? or do I need to scroll through endless pages of games? because this only partially works...by the time I got to page 4 in the games+ area I'd already downloaded 3 more games, so I'm just compounding the problem. fuck!
I have no idea if the site is keeping track of our downloads (you might find something unde "your content" if you replyed to the game thread), but your PC does.

Just go to C/users/[your user name]/AppData/roaming/RenPy

Here you'll find your RenPy saves that will allow to retrive the games names,

Unity game saves should be in ...AppData/Local/[devname]
(I don't like Unity, cant be more accurate, sorry)

Unfortunately I don't think the site has a list like that.
But what about your list of watched threads? And if you don't have any there, maybe it's time to use that for something like this? 🤔

The site doesn't log anything like that, but Ren'Py keeps all saves on its AppData folder, so if you're using the same PC you can at least see the games from ghat engine.
You can try guessing the version by the modified dates of the files, or just download the game and see of there's anything more.
I always Watch the threads from games that I play, so I can go back to them and see if there's updates.
I was too slow, it seems...

The games aren't even store on the site. You download from external providers. So there is no such list.

Plus, with the sensitive nature of the content here it would be a big privacy risk.

I didn't realize this was an option - super helpful! I'd been struggling with a similar problem but this works!

With just a few exceptions, randomly waiting for the game to appear on the update screen is how I learn when a game is updated.

Others have already pointed out that the forum doesn't track your downloads and given good advice on where to find it on your hard drive. If that doesn't work, there is a section of the forum for help in a finding a game.

Yeah...thus the self deprecating idiot comment I made. I just didn't expect it to get this complicated. "Oh I will def remember this game, it was so good!" 14 months later: "oh here's a game that seems sorta familiar, I wonder if..."

To everyone who responded, thanks. I will check my appdata folder as I do have lots of game saves from all these games plus from another site. That should at least get me going in the right direction, then I'll start "watching" the games.

Did I mention a new gif?
But no, this ain't a new one. :p

Like others have said... If you're playing Ren'Py games, there's a folder in AppData that has all your saves. Also, depending on your account setttings, you can simply reply to every thread you download games from and they will be added to your watch list. Or you can add them manually. What I used to do as well was to delete the contents of the game folders but not the parent folders, so I knew what I had played in the past.

The mighty tradition of tea bagging can't have required too much history now can it?
Also, hi.

On to lighter subjects, maybe I'll do better this time...
Yeah, not always easy to find good, sexy gifs of the daily theme.

The orange man is competing again?
I call him "Agent Orange" like this really toxic defoliant they used in Vietnam War.
Careful not to get political. This is not a forum for discussing politics. I'm sure there's a reddit where you can talk about politics if you're so inclined.

Yeah i'm being a naughty catgirl who doesn't respect rules, i will be spank again by mime, how tragic!

Next time. It'll take me some work. I did @LetMeIn instead.

Great contribution to the day!

This continued flaunting of P4 chat isn't nice to us peons...
Why haven't you talked to me about my program to help people get to P4 faster? You should send me a message.

Yes, this is an invitation for you or anyone else in here to start up a conversation with me. Just make the title "Mime and YourNameHere Talking", replacing "YourNameHere" with your username.

Personally, i don't mind being slap.
I can help you with that also.

When a guy describes himself as an alpha male (a wrong term based on a very flawed study of wolves from years ago - and also notice everywhere almost anyone using a wolf as their profile pic is a douchebag?) I see it as the software version of alpha. Unstable, full of flaws, missing important features and unsuitable for release to the public.

Yeah, you didn't make it easy. You'll notice I had to complete the back of your head. Too many of you are cropped in your images.

I gave @Flaming1 his ears. I gave @StephanieD the top of her head on the image I use for her. I did a few other "completions" of cropped people that I am not thinking of right now.

Or just leave any games you like on your PC, check the version there and keep a list of those you have dumped so you don't bother with them again
