Overview:

Undying Will is Visual Novel set in a medieval fantasy world without any modern elements.

The main focus of this game is its storyline and for this reason I will not give more details, try it for yourself.

For now, the game follows a mostly linear path, but I plan to turn it into a sanbox game with turn-based combat and RPG mechanics.

In its current version, the game has ~7,800 lines of dialogue and about 6,000 unique screens.

The patch does indeed seem to not work as intended. I'll remove it from the OP.
But the game works fine without it, the issue could be that you installed the patch first and then removed it. You have to delete the "persistent" file in both save folders.

First one will be in the games directory, so:

\UndyingWill-0.02-pc\game\saves

Second will be in:

C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Roaming\RenPy\UndyingWill-XXXXXXXXXX

I am by no means a major source for the subject, but here is my input: first off I LOVED how in depth you worked the naming process! Too many games just give you a single word with little but a base description and an image and you spend the whole game with every random person in game including the corner store clerk calling your mother "mom"! That was spot on!
And we all love a compelling story that sucks you in and keeps you reading. But lets face it, we are all here for the lewd content. It's in the name of the domain! But too many games just give a quick story intro and ram the lew without bias! So having a long introduction to set up the meat of the story is great as long as there is a drop-off from story to include a healthy, yet controlled amount of lewd. You may have gone a little long on the story introductions. Even skipping past story content in a second play took like 20 minutes to see your first boob! But once you cut in, you ran the perfect amount to ensure both story and lewd were in perfect supply.
My only MAJOR gripe, and the one that may damn your game is that the dialogue box is far too large and too bright and hinders view of the lewd content. Using H button to view content is fine for one off frame view and screenshotting. But having to use it for almost every scene is quite annoying. And very nearly enough for me to abandon all the great work you have laid thus far!
This is my first peer review in this genre of gaming so i apologize if I did not follow any protocol or unspoken rule. But I feel complete and direct feedback is the only way for anyone to know what people do or do not like. I am only about an hour into the game. So my review is based on only a portion of the content I assume

I see in the top information you are NOT! DerazyVN is from another site. I will relay this useless post to them lol. But leaving up the bulk as a review for others if that is alright by you

He wasn't active for quite a while. In the game there's a typical "end of content, see you next update" message, followed by this explanation (or excuse, depending on how uncharitable you're feeling) from the dev:

Now a few words from the author. If you don't want to read the whining of some random dude, exit now.
You may know me as the author of another game - Sheer Happiness, if so, know that I'm very sorry for abandoning the game, and most of all, you.
It may not be the best excuse, but I found myself at the bottom, and worst of all, I made myself 'comfortable' there.
But that's in the past now. I managed to pick myself up about a year ago. I've been working on this project ever since.
You may ask why I didn't go back to creating Sheer Happiness. During my 'worse' period I became critical of it. Uninspired, unoriginal and without an idea for itself - these were my thoughts.
Most of them were probably exaggerated, but there's also some truth in it. When I started that project, I had no idea for the main story in the game. Unfortunately.
That's why I decided to start from scratch.
I can't promise you that I will bring this game to the end no matter what. But I can promise you - if I can't continue development, I'll let you know.
