Well, the MC is a soon-to-be Father (priest) in the Catholic church, so it's actually pretty accurate. I get that you both seem to have made assumptions, but I don't see how it's misleading at all. I don't see how your inferring something that wasn't intended constitutes developer deceit.

Also, given your confusion, I can only assume you haven't played the main game (A Father's Sins) yet. Playing this first is probably not the best route to take. The original is the actual story; this is more "what if" stuff and wouldn't make a lot of sense without having played the main game.

I guess I just see too much whining about "evil devs" and their screwing people over — which is fair criticism to a point — so I misread it as serious. (Ironic, since the joke is about misreading a game title. ?) I was like, "I understand a lot of folks love incest, but the big picture of the priest as the banner doesn't tip anyone off at all? All right."

Exactly, and it's not just that with no incest. Being a priest the MC has taken a vow of celibacy = it's basically a blueball simulator compared to most porn VNs people expect. It's why a noncanon what-if companion had to be made, otherwise the dev would have probably lost subs.

There is a nag-free patch the dev provides over on F95Zone, removing anything censored about 2 weeks after the initial release. Why the censored version gets posted but the patch never gets copied to make it over here is beyond me.

Here's the Uncensored patch. Don't get this game confused with the other game with similar title. The other game is without the "Going to Hell" title.

He says he'll release the no-nag patch in about a week. So everything will be depixelized at that point. He only does it for the first week or two as an effort to motivate some folks to help support him on Patreon (where it's never censored). At the very least, doing that isn't hurting his numbers, which steadily climb slowly but surely month by month. Anyway, with a little patience the uncensored content can be seen.
